Nollywood fans are in for a Christmas treat as Colours of Fire, a new film directed by acclaimed filmmaker Niyi Akinmolayan, is set for a nationwide release on December 24, 2025.
The highly anticipated movie has already sparked excitement following FilmOne Entertainment’s announcement that it has acquired exclusive distribution rights to the feature. Co-produced by FilmOne Studios and Anthill Studios, the project promises to be one of the biggest festive releases of the year.
Colours of Fire stars a stellar cast including Osas Ighodaro, Uzor Arukwe, Femi Branch, Mercy Aigbe, and Gabriel Afolayan, and tells a heartfelt story about love, loss, and resilience emotions that shine through the warmth and chaos of the Christmas season.

For Akinmolayan, whose previous works include The Wedding Party 2 and The House of Secrets, this project marks another creative milestone.

With FilmOne Entertainment handling distribution and FilmOne Studios leading production, Colours of Fire reinforces FilmOne’s growing influence in merging creativity and commerce to bring African narratives to a wider audience.
