A fresh storm has erupted between Nollywood stars Nkechi Blessing and Lizzy Anjorin, reviving a longstanding rivalry. The feud reignited after Lizzy allegedly mocked Nkechi’s famed “Pop” (a slang reference many believe points to her lifestyle or status) in a viral post. In response, Nkechi tore back with a chilling warning: she’d drag Lizzy “back to her village” and promised to beat her “like a child” — if Lizzy picked the place.

 

In a more recent Instagram post, Nkechi pushed further. She asserted that silence isn’t fear, but a measure to stay out of jail, citing her own anger issues as reason to restrain her explosiveness. She also hurled a scathing “open letter” at Lizzy, cursing her and invoking her mother’s name — signaling how far she’s willing to go in this public spat. 

This clash isn’t new. Earlier this year, Lizzy publicly accused Nkechi of off-camera misconduct, even going as far as attacking the memory of Nkechi’s late mother and alleging dark secrets from her past. At the time, Lizzy claimed she never attacked Nkechi first — she defended herself because, in her words, “people come for me because of my reputation.” 

In the back-and-forth, Lizzy once rained curses during an Instagram live, accusing Nkechi of dragging her name since 2019 and threatening to expose family secrets, including claims about her mother’s trade and her father’s history. Nkechi’s earlier promotional post that mentioned Lizzy (and others) triggered those attacks — what started as harmless banter allegedly escalated into a full-blown social media war. 

Now, with Nkechi asserting she isn’t backing down (but patiently holding back for legal reasons), fans speculate whether this feud will spill from online jabs to real-world confrontation. As two strong personalities clash again, observers in the Nollywood space watch closely — who will fold, and who will fight till the end?
