Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Annie Macaulay Idibia has taken to Instagram to share a series of reflective and cryptic posts about setting boundaries and prioritizing her well-being.
On her Instagram story, Annie wrote about the personal transformation she experienced after learning to protect her energy while remaining humble and calm.
“My whole life changed when I realised I could be humble and calm yet still take no shit and set solid boundaries to protect my energy,” she stated.
In another post, she reflected on the brevity of life and the importance of happiness:
“We are not here long enough to be living unhappily,” she wrote.
Annie also shared advice on relationships, warning against allowing people back into one’s life if they have previously caused harm.
“Never re-friend or re-family anyone back into your life if they’ve tried to ruin your character, finances, or relationships. A snake may shield its skin, but it’s still a snake. Always,” she posted.
Recently, Annie has embraced her single life, expressing gratitude for her peace of mind. She recounted a moment of enjoying breakfast alone, appreciating how far she has come.
“I remembered when I wanted what I currently had, and I was grateful for it. Taking breakfast alone felt so good,” she said.
In a note to herself, Annie praised her own grace and resilience, celebrating her personal growth. Last month, she also shared her vision for her next relationship, emphasizing mutual growth:
“I want a relationship where we both become hotter, healthier, happier, and wealthier together. I want the little things,” she wrote.
Annie further showcased her enjoyment of life in a video with celebrity stylist Swanky Jerry, affirming that she is now in her “soft life era,” which comes with clearly defined boundaries.
In a heartfelt post, she expressed hope that her daughter knows her worth and never accepts less than she deserves:
“I hope my daughter doesn’t accept things I accepted, that she knows her worth from the start, and that no matter what, she always has me in her corner,” Annie shared.
On moving forward, she noted her approach to past issues:
“I just archive and move on,” she said.
Annie also indirectly took shots at her estranged husband, 2baba, calling attention to what she perceives as his shortcomings as a father. She highlighted other great fathers, tagging Peter Okoye, Cole Peter, and Andilen Cube, while excluding him.
