Veteran Nollywood actor Dele Odule has finally spoken about the emotional and cryptic posts he recently shared on Instagram, confirming that he suffered heartbreak after being served “breakfast” by a 200-level university student.
The popular actor had earlier left fans guessing with his social media posts, where he wrote about love, betrayal, and emotional pain. In one post, he said the wrong person would find one in peace and leave them in pieces, while the right person would find them in pieces and lead them to peace.
In another post, he shared that leaving him was not the real problem but that the pain came from being made to feel special one day and unwanted the next. His words drew sympathy and curiosity from fans who wondered what could have caused such heartbreak.
Clearing the air in an interview with Kamo State, Dele Odule admitted that his emotional post was not just a random thought but a reflection of a real-life experience. He revealed that he had been heartbroken by a 200-level student, though he did not mention her name or the school she attends.
“There is a little bit of a problem. I got served breakfast by a 200-level student,” he said.
Kamo State, who shared the interview clip on social media, joked that the actor had not eaten all day, writing, “Breakfast is for everybody. @ibrahimchatta_lordthespis said daddy has not eaten today. W// @deleodule.”
The revelation quickly went viral, and social media users flooded the comment section with mixed reactions. While some found the story funny, others expressed concern and questioned why a veteran actor would get involved with a young student.
One user wrote that it must be a movie promotion, saying they could not believe the story was real. Another user asked why a man of his age would be romantically involved with a 200-level student. Some others, however, sympathized with the actor, insisting that love and heartbreak have no age limits.
The incident has sparked discussions about age gaps and emotional vulnerability among celebrities. Despite the criticism, many praised Dele Odule for speaking openly about his personal experience.
Dele Odule remains one of the most respected figures in the Yoruba movie industry, with a long list of successful productions and contributions to Nollywood. His honesty about his heartbreak has reminded fans that even public figures are not exempt from emotional pain.
