Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is receiving an outpouring of love and congratulatory messages as she unveils her newly renovated office, months after it was gutted by fire.
Back in July, the Nollywood star shared a heartbreaking video showing her office building in flames. At the time, she expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff, who rushed to salvage what was left from the inferno. Iyabo also appreciated God for sparing lives during the unfortunate incident, noting that though the devil tried to test her, God turned the situation around in her favor.
On Saturday evening, Iyabo Ojo returned to Instagram with a joyful update, sharing a video of her freshly renovated office space. Overflowing with gratitude, the actress wrote: “Thank you Lord, to you be all the glory.”
Her fans, colleagues, and well-wishers flooded the comment section with warm congratulatory messages. Actress Lola Alao expressed joy, writing: “My dear, I am so happy for you, to God be the glory.” Comedienne Princess also chimed in with: “Thank God for restoration.” Nollywood actress Empress Njamah added: “Congratulations Iyabo, more blessings.” Others described the actress as “back and better” and “back and stronger.”
Despite the joy of this new chapter, Iyabo Ojo’s fire incident had once been clouded by negativity when some men in Lagos chanted curses against her, linking her name to the tragic death of singer Mohbad. In response, the actress clarified that she never accused anyone of causing Mohbad’s death, stressing that certain individuals had for years consistently wished her harm and even called for the destruction of her livelihood.
Through it all, her friends and colleagues have stood by her. Lola Alao praised Iyabo as a cheerful giver who often puts others before herself, while actress Opeyemi Aiyeola described her as an angel to many despite being dragged into controversies. She encouraged Iyabo to remain strong, faithful, and true to herself.
Now, with her office restored and her spirit unbroken, Iyabo Ojo has shown once again why she is celebrated as one of the most resilient women in Nollywood.
