Nigerian showbiz mogul and music executive, Paulo Okoye, is in a celebratory mood as his granddaughter, Zariah Nwamaka, marks her first birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the proud grandfather showered love on his little princess while promising to show her the world.
“Happiest birthday, my Granddaughter Zariah Nwamaka !! 1st Birthday!!
Soon you will travel with me all over the world!!!
I can’t wait !!!! @vanzyvanz !!! We party soon”.
It would be recalled that in September last year, Paulo’s daughter Vanessa joyfully announced the arrival of her baby girl, Zariah, on Instagram, revealing her name and sharing adorable photos.
Paulo, who was overjoyed at becoming a grandfather, reposted one of the baby’s photos while embracing his new title, urging fans and colleagues to address him as “grandpa.”
A month after Zariah’s birth, Vanessa opened up about breaking the pregnancy news to her father while she was in London. According to her, Paulo reacted like a typical Igbo dad — quiet but supportive all through her journey.
Vanessa has never shied away from standing up for her father publicly. Earlier this year, she clapped back at a troll who mocked her during her defense of Paulo in Singer Spyro’s online spat with the talent manager. The troll had dragged her over her child’s father, but Vanessa fiercely shut him down.
Similarly, during Paulo’s controversy with Very Dark Man last year, the mother of one praised her dad’s composure, stressing that people often mistake their silence for ignorance. She insisted her family was more concerned with building a legacy of integrity and excellence rather than engaging in unnecessary drama.
