Nollywood actress and filmmaker Regina Daniels has opened up about her personal life, revealing why she chose not to pursue a career in politics despite her husband’s encouragement.
The talented actress, known for her roles in blockbuster Nollywood movies, disclosed that while her husband once suggested she join politics, she turned it down because she believes it is not her path.
> “My husband once encouraged me to go into politics, but I told him it’s not my calling,” Regina Daniels said. “I find joy in listening to people and offering help. If I can assist immediately, I do. If not, I still make sure I come through later. That’s where my strength lies — not in politics, which I see as a tough field that doesn’t suit me.”
Regina Daniels also addressed the widespread public perception that marrying an older man means being controlled or restricted in marriage. According to her, the reality of her marriage is the opposite.
“People often say I married an older man and assume he controls me, but that’s far from the truth. He doesn’t restrict me in any way. In fact, he gives me everything I want. Sometimes, he even insists I stay out of the kitchen while he cooks for me,” she revealed.
The actress further emphasized that the affection and romance displayed online are only a fraction of the love she experiences in her home.
“What people admire about our love on social media is just a glimpse. The real love he shows me at home is far greater,” Regina Daniels added.
