Controversial Nigerian street-hop singer, Portable (Habeeb Okikiola), has once again made headlines after openly appealing to Afrobeat superstar Tiwa Savage to support his newly signed artist, Ifeoluwa Bolanle Babatunde, popularly known as Sexy Shay.
The Zazuu Zeh crooner took to his Instagram page to share a screenshot of a direct message he sent to Tiwa Savage, where he passionately pleaded for her to help uplift Sexy Shay’s music career. According to Portable, Tiwa Savage’s influence and guidance could transform his artist’s life.
In another screenshot Portable shared online, Sexy Shay had already reached out to the Somebody’s Son hitmaker, thanking her for showing interest in her work. Tiwa Savage, in her response, urged the rising star to send in her record options, signaling her willingness to listen and possibly collaborate or support her music journey.
Expressing deep gratitude, Portable showered praises on Tiwa Savage, describing her as a “talk and do godmother.” He further crowned her the “Queen of Africa”, emphasizing that her consistency and generosity set her apart in the Nigerian music industry. “Talk And Do God Mother @tiwasavage Queen OF AFRICA. Please help her life,” Portable wrote.
This is not the first time Portable has publicly exalted Tiwa Savage. In 2024, the singer shared a video of himself with Tiwa in London, where he excitedly called her the “Ogbanje of Africa” and declared her the “number one of Africa.” The video went viral, with Portable gushing about how honored he felt to meet and interact with the award-winning Afrobeat icon.
With Portable’s relentless admiration for Tiwa Savage and his new artist’s career hanging in the balance, fans are now eager to see if the “African Bad Gyal” will extend her industry power to uplift Sexy Shay into the limelight.
