Prophet Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has once again stirred nationwide reactions following a bold and unusual revelation about his life and ministry.

The controversial preacher, who is the General Overseer of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry in Onitsha, told his congregation that when his time on earth is over, no one will ever find his remains.

Speaking during a church service, Odumeje declared that his calling was not about living long but fulfilling a divine assignment given to him by God.

He shocked worshippers when he said: “I’m the strongest spiritual man in the world after the general, Emmanuel TB Joshua. We are not many just two. One has finished his assignment and has returned home. Remaining is the Lion Himself, the dead man. I don’t have much time to spend here. Nobody will see my corpse.”

The preacher further explained that his mission on earth was to convince doubters of the power of Jesus Christ. According to him, everything his ministry stands for is rooted in the supremacy of God’s authority.

“Our mission is to clear your doubt about Jesus Christ. Our mission is one God and one power, and that man is Jesus Christ,” he reiterated.

Odumeje’s declaration has sparked debates across social media, with many questioning the meaning behind his words.

While some of his followers believe his statement is spiritual and symbolic, others see it as controversial and attention-grabbing. Over the years, Odumeje has become a polarizing figure in Nigeria’s religious space, known for his flamboyant style, dramatic preaching, and unusual claims.

Nicknamed “The Lion Himself” and “The Liquid Metal”, Odumeje has often described himself as a spiritual warrior sent to demonstrate the supremacy of Christ. His ministry has attracted both loyal followers and strong critics, who sometimes accuse him of theatrics rather than spiritual depth. Nonetheless, his messages continue to draw massive crowds, both physically and online.

The comparison he made to the late Prophet TB Joshua, founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, has also raised eyebrows. By calling TB Joshua “the general” who had completed his mission, Odumeje positioned himself as the last remaining figure in what he claims is a rare spiritual hierarchy.

For his congregation, the words of their leader carry significant weight, with many interpreting them as a prophecy of how he will exit the world. Some supporters say Odumeje’s claim of “flying away” reflects biblical accounts of prophets like Elijah, who, according to scripture, was taken up into heaven without leaving behind a body.

Regardless of interpretation, one thing is clear: Odumeje has mastered the art of capturing public attention. His dramatic style, unusual declarations, and fearless confidence ensure that he remains a constant subject of debate in Nigeria’s religious and entertainment circles.

As he continues to spread his message, his latest prophecy about his own death has deepened the mystery surrounding his ministry, leaving Nigerians divided between belief, doubt, and curiosity about what the future holds for the preacher famously called “The Dead Man Walking.”
