Celebrity chef and multiple Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci is celebrating her 30th birthday with a heartfelt message, describing this milestone as the start of a fresh journey full of gratitude and renewed strength.
Sharing her thoughts on Instagram on Saturday, Baci reflected on how reaching 30 feels unlike any previous year.
“This is 30, and it feels like stepping into a brand-new book, not just another chapter,” she wrote, emphasizing the sense of a complete new beginning rather than merely continuing her past.
She also acknowledged the experiences that have shaped her while highlighting her growth and faith.
“I carry every lesson, every tear, every win with me, but I walk forward lighter, stronger, and overflowing with gratitude to God. The woman I’ve prayed to be is the woman I’m becoming,” Baci added, pointing to her resilience and spiritual grounding.
Her milestone birthday follows closely on the heels of another remarkable achievement. On September 15, 2025, she set a Guinness World Record by preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style Jollof rice.
The enormous pot, weighing 8,000 kg (about 17,637 lbs), was cooked in Lagos and drew thousands of spectators.
This recognition further cemented her status as a trailblazer in Nigerian culinary history, adding to her earlier achievement in May 2023, when she cooked nonstop for 93 hours and 11 minutes to set the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual — a feat that earned her global recognition.
Through her journey, Baci has elevated Nigerian cuisine on the world stage while inspiring millions across Africa and beyond.
