Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has received a goodwill message from Guinness World Records as she prepares to attempt cooking the world’s largest pot of jollof rice in Lagos.
The organisation dropped a note of support under her Instagram post on Friday, writing: “Best of luck Hilda and team!”
Hilda, who shot to international fame in 2023 after setting the record for the longest cooking marathon, is now aiming for another milestone by preparing 250 bags of rice in one massive pot.
The record attempt will take place at Eko Hotels in Victoria Island, Lagos, and thousands of fans and well-wishers are expected to gather to witness the historic feat.
Ahead of the event, an emotional scene played out as Hilda and her mother prayed together, asking for strength, endurance, and divine protection.
Many admirers have since noted the significant influence her mother has had on her journey, praising her for being a steady source of encouragement and support.
