Nigerian celebrity chef, Hilda Baci, has once again made history as Guinness World Records (GWR) officially confirmed her latest achievement of cooking the largest pot of jollof rice.
The confirmation, announced on Monday, September 15, 2025, has added another feather to the chef’s cap and solidified her status as one of Africa’s most influential culinary figures.
The event, which took place in Victoria Island, Lagos, was organized in partnership with Gino, one of Nigeria’s most popular food brands.
According to GWR’s announcement on its official X handle, the record was for the “largest serving of Nigerian style jollof rice, 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz), achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”
