Fans, colleagues, and well-wishers of Nollywood actress Joke Silva have rallied around her following the passing of her elder brother.
The veteran actress, who is married to acclaimed actor Olu Jacobs, shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram page.
She revealed that her elder brother, John Olabiyi Silva, aged 73, had passed away, describing him as an easy-going and cherished family member.
In her post, Silva wrote:
“With acceptance of God’s Sovereign will. We announce the call to Glory of my dear brother John Olabiyi Silva, long John Silva. Bros B…Uncle B…. My easy-going, lucky brother. Rest in peace. January 22nd, 1953-August 29th, 2025.”
Her announcement quickly drew messages of condolences and support from fans, colleagues, and other Nollywood stars, who expressed sympathy and shared prayers for the deceased.
