Kristin Cabot, formerly a senior executive at Astronomer, has reportedly initiated divorce proceedings shortly after a kiss cam moment with her boss at a Coldplay concert drew widespread attention.
According to reports, Cabot filed for divorce in a New Hampshire court on August 13, only weeks after footage surfaced showing her and CEO Andy Byron, who is also married, sharing a brief on-screen embrace during the July 16 concert. The clip quickly went viral, showing the pair covering their faces in an awkward attempt to hide from the crowd.
Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin made a lighthearted remark during the performance, quipping: “Woah, look at these two. They’re either having an affair or they’re just very shy,” which added fuel to the viral moment.
Following the public attention, Byron stepped down from his CEO role on July 19, and Cabot later resigned from her human resources position.
Julia Byron, formerly married to Cabot’s husband Andrew Cabot, shared her reaction with the Daily Mail, revealing she had contacted Andrew immediately after the incident. “He said her life is nothing to do with him and mentioned they were separating,” she recalled.
Julia described Andrew as being primarily concerned with financial matters rather than the fallout of the incident. “Many people see this as karma. It’s like what you give comes back to you. Personally, I don’t think he’s emotionally affected, probably just embarrassed,” she noted.
This event marks Andrew Cabot’s third divorce. Julia added her perspective on the situation, stating: “I wouldn’t say he’s husband material, and neither does she seem like wife material.”
