After a seven-year gap since her debut Invasion of Privacy, Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B, born Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, has released her second studio album, Am I the Drama?, on Friday.
The 23-track project, released under Atlantic Records, quickly soared to the top of the US iTunes albums chart. It features collaborations with Kehlani, Megan Thee Stallion, Selena Gomez, and Janet Jackson.
Rolling Stone praised the album, giving it 4.5 stars and highlighting its “raw energy and fearless storytelling.”
To support the release, Cardi B unveiled the music video for her single Safe and appeared at an Apple Music event in New York City. She also revealed plans for a world tour scheduled for 2026.
The album’s release coincides with personal news for the rapper. On September 17, she confirmed she is expecting a child with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Speaking to CBS, she shared her happiness, saying, “I’m excited. I’m happy.”
