Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Ifeyinwa Okafor, popularly known as Ivatar, has shared insights about her time on the reality show, clarifying several misconceptions about her personality and relationships.
In a candid chat with Sunday Scoop, Ivatar revealed that many fans misjudged her based on her appearance, particularly her tattoos and overall look. According to her, some viewers expected dramatic outbursts from her simply because of how she presents herself.
“People have said that they expected more drama from me because of how I look, but I am naturally a very calm person,” she said. “From the start, I made it clear that the stereotype people have about tattooed individuals doesn’t define me.
I’m classy and intentional. Of course, I have a fun, crazy side, but only those I’m comfortable with will ever see that. I’m also a mother to an 18-year-old, so I can’t be reckless just to entertain anyone.”
Addressing speculations about a romantic link with fellow housemate Kaybobo, Ivatar dismissed the claims as false. She explained that a viral photo suggesting the two had kissed was digitally manipulated.
“I was shocked when I saw that picture. It never happened. Kaybobo and I are just friends. We connect because we share similar interests, but there is nothing romantic between us,” she clarified.
The former housemate also opened up about her complicated relationship with another contestant, Mensan. According to her, they bonded early in the game but later experienced strain in their friendship.
“Maybe I shouldn’t have pulled him into my corner because I felt he was lonely, like I was. We shared some fun moments, but I believe in setting boundaries, and I’ll always stick to that,” she explained.
Despite her eviction, Ivatar expressed gratitude for the platform, noting that the experience has shaped her outlook and strengthened her resilience. She said her calm demeanor in the house was not a strategy but a true reflection of her personality.
“I know some people thought I was holding back, but that is just who I am. I don’t like unnecessary drama, and I prefer to keep my dignity intact,” she noted.
As she looks ahead, Ivatar said she hopes to use her platform to challenge stereotypes about women with tattoos while also pursuing opportunities in media and entertainment. She added that her biggest priority remains her family, particularly her role as a mother.
Her revelations add to the growing list of post-eviction stories from the BBNaija 10 house, where several housemates have spoken openly about their experiences, misconceptions, and future plans.
