Less than two weeks after becoming a mother, Priscilla Ojo has opened up about feeling guilty for stepping out without her newborn son.
On Snapchat, the actress and influencer, who is set to launch her pop-up store in Canada this weekend, revealed that she treated herself to a “Mummy’s Day Out.” She went shopping with celebrity hairstylist Chioma Good Hair and bought items for both her mother and her baby boy.
One fan suggested that Priscilla must have spent the whole time thinking about her son, to which she responded:
The fan wrote, “Mommy’s day out, I know you kept thinking and missing Prince.”
Priscilla replied, “All Day.”
Recalling her delivery experience, Priscilla disclosed that she was rushed to the hospital around 3 a.m. and admitted that contractions were far from easy. She confessed that her initial plans of showing up glamorously and creating content at the hospital quickly went out the window once labour began.
Speaking further about her postpartum journey, Priscilla praised her mother, actress Iyabo Ojo, and colleague Lola Alao for being her backbone during this period. She described them as lifesavers who handle almost everything, ensuring she gets the rest she needs and can heal both physically and emotionally. According to her, she considers herself fortunate to come from a family of strong women.
Priscilla and her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, held a star-studded six-part wedding celebration across Tanzania and Nigeria between February, April, and May.
Addressing critics speculating about her pregnancy timeline, Priscilla explained on Snapchat that she and Juma had already gotten married privately last year in a Nikkai ceremony. She clarified that the elaborate wedding ceremonies they later hosted were simply to celebrate with loved ones.
