Afro-fusion star Adekunle Gold has confirmed the release date for his sixth studio album, Fuji, which is scheduled to arrive on October 3.

The singer took to his Instastory to share the news, describing the project as the most personal of his career. According to him, the record captures his journey through different seasons of life — including success, loss, lessons learned, and the joy of fatherhood.

He explained that the album has been in the works for five years, calling it “the greatest project” he has ever created. For Gold, the project is not only a return to his cultural foundation but also a reminder of why he began making music in the first place — to tell authentic stories.

“This body of work represents where I started, who I am today, and the future I’m building,” he said. He also hinted that guest features will not be revealed until after fans have listened to the album themselves.

Adekunle Gold, whose real name is Adekunle Kosoko, broke into the mainstream in 2015 with his breakout single Sade, a highlife-inspired cover of One Direction’s Story of My Life. He was signed under YBNL Nation before launching his own label, Afro Urban Records, and later inking a deal with Def Jam Recordings.

Over the years, he has released a string of successful albums including Gold (2016), About 30 (2018), Afro Pop, Vol. 1 (2020), Catch Me If You Can (2022), and Tequila Ever After (2023).

With Fuji, Gold promises fans an album rooted in culture, self-expression, and the evolution of his artistry.
