Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has shared joyful news with her fans and colleagues — she is expecting her first child.
Taking to Instagram, Toke posted a heartwarming video of her baby bump, describing the pregnancy as *“the biggest project of my life and my highest calling.”* She revealed that her 2025 declaration was to have a different kind of year, and according to her, God answered her prayers.
In a touching note to God, she expressed deep gratitude, saying He had completely transformed her life and opened doors that no one could shut. She admitted she had once wondered why it took so long, but now she understands and can see the purpose.

Toke has been open about her views on marriage and family in recent times. In a recent episode of her podcast, she stated that she was ready to settle down, even as a second, third, or fourth wife.
Earlier, she had spoken about being single and childless at 40, admitting that if she had remarried, it might have ended in another divorce. She stressed that instead of feeling pity for herself, she focuses on her achievements and the love around her.
Toke was previously married to fitness coach Maje Ayinde. The marriage ended in 2016 after two years, following revelations of infidelity. Speaking about the experience, she recalled being blamed for the failure of her marriage despite her ex-husband fathering a child with another woman. She said public misconceptions about her relationship left her traumatized.
In June, she clapped back at a troll who mocked her for being unmarried, responding that God would still bless her with her own family and that the person would live to congratulate her. She has also addressed misconceptions that she dislikes men or marriage, clarifying that she actually supports marriage, believing that *“two is better than one.”
