Nigerian journalist Stella Dimokokorkus has alleged that Wunmi, the wife of late singer Mohbad, secretly conducted two separate DNA tests on their son, Liam, but chose not to make the results public.
In a post shared on Tuesday, Stella claimed that the DNA tests were carried out with the assistance of a popular Yoruba Nollywood actress. She said the outcome of the first test allegedly led to a second test being done, and both results have since been kept from public knowledge and from individuals close to the family.
“Late singer Mohbad’s wife Wunmi has allegedly secretly done two DNA tests with both results not released to the public or to those around her,” she wrote.
“According to inside sources, all the while that Mohbad’s father was crying for DNA test to be done, Wunmi, aided by a popular Yoruba Nollywood actress, secretly did a DNA test and the result of that first test prompted them to do a second secret DNA test recently, and the result of that test is with the actress. Insiders allege that the result might shock everyone.”
Stella also questioned why the actress involved has refused to release the test results despite the ongoing public pressure for transparency. She expressed concern over the silence, suggesting that it has allowed the controversy around Liam’s paternity to continue unnecessarily.
“Sources wonder why the result of the two DNA tests have not been made public by the actress and are allowing everyone to continue dragging Wunmi to do the test to save face,” she wrote. “This is hoping that the DNA tests result will be made public to end all the drama that has shifted the focus of who or what killed Mohbad to if little Liam is his child or not.”
She further stated that while Wunmi has denied taking any DNA test in previous interviews, new revelations from WhatsApp group chats appear to suggest otherwise.
“There were multiple interview denials on this story and now I am seeing shots from a WhatsApp group chat that she actually did the tests… Hmmmmm!!” she added.
As of now, neither Wunmi nor the unnamed actress has responded to the claims. The controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death and the paternity of his son continues to generate public interest and emotional debate across social media.
