Nigerian comedian Sabinus has taken to social media to express his outrage over the reckless behaviour of commercial tricycle drivers, popularly known as Keke Napep riders.
Sharing his frustrations in a viral video, Sabinus urged the government to take immediate action and bring some level of order to the operations of Keke drivers, whom he accused of having little to no regard for road safety.
According to him, many of these drivers seem to lose all common sense the moment they start operating a Keke.
In his words:
“Omo nothing wey person wan tell me. Once you buy keke for this Nigeria say you wan be keke driver, e be like say the company wey sell the keke to you dey tell you say drop your sense with us, collect the keke dey go, cause no keke driver head correct.
Buy keke and drop your sense. God abeg. Government, talk to this people o. Jesus is Lord!
Keke cannot be patient for a second. Everything we dey avoid for road. Keke we dey avoid for road…”
The comedian’s post quickly gained traction online, with many Nigerians agreeing with his observation and calling for stricter regulation of Keke operators, especially in busy urban areas.
