Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has officially signed with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) Feminines, marking a new chapter in her football journey.
The 25-year-old forward arrives at PSG as a free agent, after concluding her stint with Atletico Madrid at the end of last season. Her new contract will keep her at the French club through June 30, 2027.
The French side shared the news on Facebook, stating: “Rasheedat Ajibade signs for Paris Saint-Germain until 2027. ❤️💙 Paris Saint-Germain is delighted to announce the arrival of Nigerian striker who has joined the club on a deal that runs until 30th June 2027. ✅”
Ajibade will join forces with fellow Nigerian international Jennifer Echegini at PSG, creating a strong Nigerian contingent in the team.
Her football journey began at Lagos-based FC Robo Queens, and at just 17, she moved to Norway to play for Avaldsnes IL. In 2021, she signed for Atletico Madrid Feminino, steadily gaining recognition on the European stage.
As captain, Ajibade guided the Super Falcons to their 10th Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) victory in Morocco this July. Her performances earned her the tournament’s Best Player award, cementing her status as one of Africa’s top talents.
Outside football, Ajibade has shared her personal story of resilience, revealing that she once sold olive oil and refreshments at deliverance programs run by the Mountain of Fire Miracle Ministry (MFM) before reaching international prominence.
