Afrobeats star Tosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has responded to social media claims suggesting that his recently held wedding to Temi Otedola was financed with his music earnings.
Earlier this month, the singer and Temi, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, exchanged vows in a private ceremony at the iconic Hallgrimskirkja Church in Reykjavik, Iceland. The intimate wedding was reportedly attended by close family and friends, including Temi’s siblings, her parents, Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, and popular comedian Brodashaggi.
Soon after the ceremony, Mr Eazi dropped a brand-new single titled Casanova across digital streaming platforms. This release sparked mixed reactions, with one X (formerly Twitter) user insinuating that the track was a subtle attempt to recoup expenses from the lavish wedding. The user wrote:
“Mr Eazi wan low-key raise money wey him spend for that wedding.”
The comment quickly drew Mr Eazi’s attention, and the “Skin Tight” crooner wasted no time in issuing a witty clapback. He dismissed the idea that music alone could cover the cost of his high-profile wedding.
Responding directly to the post, he wrote:
“U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? Lol.”
