Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Chike, has made a bold statement about his personal life, revealing that marriage is not in his plans. 

In a recent interview, the Running To You crooner explained that he does not believe marriage is for him, stressing that his happiness depends more on financial stability than on settling down.

Chike, who has continued to thrill fans with his music and soulful voice, described marriage as a “stupid step” in his personal opinion, noting that he would rather focus on building the kind of life that brings him true fulfillment. 

“I need a lot of money to be happy,” he admitted, clarifying that it is not about greed but about creating the lifestyle he desires for himself.

The singer further explained that his views on marriage are personal and not meant to condemn those who see it differently. According to him, his priority is ensuring financial comfort and stability before considering other aspects of life.

Beyond his comments about marriage, Chike also opened up about his journey into music. Interestingly, he revealed that becoming a musician was not his original career plan. 

It was only after his university education that he discovered his deep passion for music and decided to pursue it fully. Today, that decision has paid off, as he has become one of Nigeria’s most respected voices in the music industry.
