Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of Nigerian music star Davido, has clapped back at online trolls in the wake of the singer’s wedding celebrations.
The drama began when a Snapchat user advised the mother of one to settle down, comparing her to Wizkid’s baby mamas, whom they claimed maintained a low profile.
The user wrote:
“Go and marry. Please learn from Wizkid’s babymamas. You hardly see them post because they respect themselves.”
Firing back, Sophia wished the troll and their loved ones blindness, questioning why someone who disliked her would still keep tabs on her life. She urged them to leave women alone, stressing her worth.
“Sarah, I hope you, your family and everyone you love go blind, cos how are you watching me when you don’t like me? Please, leave women alone. Imagine thinking you can make me feel bad cos my voice/platform is heavy. I am the prize hoe!”
Another Snapchat user, while expressing admiration for Sophia, advised her to be cautious with her responses to avoid unnecessary drama.
“I love you, Sofie, but I think they will misunderstand this post now. Also, please be mindful of the way you reply to avoid bullies and drama.”
Sophia, however, made it clear she wasn’t concerned about online critics.
“Sweetie, I dgaf what a bunch of brokies who are dedicated to misunderstanding me have to say. Those who matter don’t mind. Also, y’all need to understand I’m a bigger bully. God is just working on me.
And another thing, don’t ever come on my platform to tell me what I can or can’t talk about. Also, it’s Sophia to you.”
In a third post, she directed a message to those who dislike her yet constantly follow her activities, advising them to seek professional help. She also addressed criticism over her skin tone.
“Honestly, if you don’t like me and you’re on any of my platforms watching every single thing I do, just go check yourself into a mental institute, cos how? They’ve been crying all over my DMs all day on I didn’t bleach my skin.
Are you people even okay? Is it by force to be yellow with weird-looking knuckles?”
