A gripping tale of love, time, and obsession is set to hit cinemas nationwide on July 18 as Bendel Girl, a captivating new feature from The Micheal Gbenga Company, prepares to make its debut.
The film follows the story of a girl from the past who unexpectedly crashes into the present, setting off a chain reaction in the life of one man whose fixation with unraveling her mystery could either bring healing or wreak havoc on the people he holds dear.
Directed by Gbenga Kayode, Bendel Girl features a stellar cast that includes reality star Saskay, Topé Tedela, Timi Agbaje, Amanda Iriekpen, Brutus Richard, Tobi Bakre, Tolani Baj, Kayode Aderupoko, Olusola Fosudo, Funke Kate, and Jibola Dabo.
The project is produced by Gbenga Kayode and Buky Olowoyo, with Sisi Danielz serving as associate producer. Cinematography is led by Gbenga Gomes, while O. Suara handles second camera and drone operations. Sound was recorded by Dolapo Adeniyi, with lighting from Lanre LightIt.
The film’s visual and auditory elements are shaped by Horace Onyango (sound design), Aina Post Pro (colour grading), and Tomi Owo alongside Hammerboi Music, who composed the original soundtrack.
Production coordination was managed by Lakeshow, with support from Israel Tosin (1st AD), Mixchavee (2nd AD), Iyabode (continuity), Sayo Amani (location coordination), and Tofunmi (production coordination). Behind-the-scenes content was captured by Popsshotit, while the production design was spearheaded by Ike Nna and Lefteyes Signatures.
Executive producers include Kassim Sule, Frodd, Niyi Lawal, and Alice Motieri. The movie is being distributed by FilmOne’s Film Distribution BP.
