The highly anticipated crime thriller Sin: First Blood — formerly titled Sin: First Kill — has officially premiered on Prime Video Naija. The gripping drama, which marks the first installment in a two-part film series, became available for streaming on July 24 and is already generating buzz among viewers and critics alike. The sequel, Sin: Total Blackout, is slated for release on August 22.
Starring an impressive ensemble cast led by veteran actor and producer Jim Iyke, the film boasts appearances from some of Nollywood’s most dynamic talents, including Toni Tones, Chidi Mokeme, Gideon Okeke, Kelechi Udegbe, Yemi Blaq, Hermes Iyele, Aderonke Onuoha, Chimezie Imo, Ronya Man, Uzee Usman, Toke Makinwa, Bimbo Manuel, Olumide Oworu, Charles Okocha, Patrick Doyle, Tope Teddy Adenibuyan, Iyke Michael, and Chude Jideonwo.
Sin: First Blood introduces audiences to a dark and layered criminal underworld where trust is a luxury and betrayal can be fatal. The thriller weaves themes of vengeance, morality, and justice in a high-stakes storyline packed with tension, action, and psychological drama.
The project is produced by 6th Sense Productions, with Jim Iyke serving as both Executive Producer and lead actor. The film is directed by Yemi “Filmboy” Morafa, known for his work on a range of top Nigerian productions. Also credited as producers are David Rukeme and Joy Grant-Ekong, while Peter Moloto handled the cinematography. Associate producer Henry Hills also played a key role in the film’s completion.
Speaking about the project, Jim Iyke described Sin as a passion-fueled creation meant to elevate storytelling and production standards in Nollywood.
“I’ve always wanted to create something that challenges the status quo in Nigerian cinema — something cinematic, bold, and rich in character,” he said in a previous press statement. “Sin is more than a film. It’s a statement.”
