Former President Muhammadu Buhari Passes Away in London Clinic

Nigeria has lost one of its prominent leaders, as the immediate past president, Muhammadu Buhari, has died.

The news of his death was made public on Sunday evening through a statement released by his former Special Assistant, Garba Shehu.

The statement reads:

“INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHIRRAJIUUN

“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London. May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin.”

At the time of this report, the family is yet to share further information on funeral plans or the exact cause of his passing.
