Veteran Yoruba actress Bukky Wright has shared her thoughts on the possibility of remarrying, expressing openness to the idea—if it aligns with divine will.
In a recent interview with the BBC, Wright said she is willing to give marriage another chance, but only if she finds the right man and it aligns with God’s plan for her life.
She remarked, “If God has a man who goes to the age of six, I won’t wait until he is five and a half.” Adding to that, she said, “If God says he will go to the top of the mountain, he will not stop until he reaches the top of the mountain.”
While she acknowledged her personal liking for marriage, Wright emphasized that it must not go against God’s will. “It’s something I like, but only if God forbids it. I don’t tell women to try it, because I like it,” she added.
In another part of the interview, the actress addressed the trend of women exposing their bodies, saying it's not limited to actresses alone. According to her, many women in Nigeria have joined the trend.
She often questions men about their preferences, asking if they are the reason women now show more skin. “They often say they prefer their women covered,” she noted.
Wright also spoke about the evolution of the Nigerian theatre industry, particularly highlighting the advancements in equipment and technology that have changed the landscape over the years.
She concluded the interview by encouraging fans to anticipate her upcoming projects, hinting at new work set to be released soon.
