Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi has once again sparked controversy, taking aim at his colleagues Iyabo Ojo and Funke Akindele while revisiting the Baba Ijesha saga.
In a video circulating online, Fabiyi recalled how Iyabo allegedly vowed to block his ability to travel during the height of the case. He dismissed her claim, stressing that he had long-established international ties.
“During Baba Ijesha’s saga, Iyabo Ojo said she would stop me from travelling. I was married to a British woman for 10 years. I have been travelling out of Nigeria for 20 years now,” he said.
Fabiyi didn’t stop there. He went on to assert that both Iyabo and Funke had not travelled abroad before him, while also defending Baba Ijesha’s image and dismissing calls to take legal action against Iyabo.
“Neither Iyabo nor Funke Akindele travelled out before me. People told me to sue her, but I decided not to. It is only God who can recover all Baba Ijesha has lost. Till today, the court didn’t establish it that Baba Ijesha slept with any child,” he added.
His comments have stirred reactions across social media, with many calling him out for reigniting the controversy.
