Nigerian music superstar Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has officially introduced his daughter to the public and revealed her name for the first time.
The Grammy-winning artist made headlines on Friday after stepping out with his six-month-old daughter and her mother, Jada Pollock, at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The family was in attendance for the premiere of Wizkid's much-anticipated documentary, Wizkid: Long Live Lagos.
In viral videos shared online, the proud father was seen radiating joy, dressed in a white ensemble that matched his daughter's outfit. The heartwarming moment marked the singer’s first public appearance with his baby girl.
Taking to his Twitter page shortly after the event, Wizkid revealed that he had named his daughter in memory of his late mother, who passed away in August 2023.
He simply tweeted, “Morayo Balogun,” a tribute that moved many fans who recalled how close the singer was to his mother.
