Nigerian hip-hop star Tochukwu Ojogwu, professionally known as Odumodublvck, has taken a swipe at fellow rapper Blaqbonez, urging him to stop claiming the title of Nigeria’s best rapper.
The tension between the two artists intensified following Blaqbonez’s verse on the track Who’s Really Rapping, a collaboration with A-Q, where he seemingly threw jabs at Odumodublvck. This led to a heated exchange on social media that further fueled their ongoing rivalry.
Speaking in a recent interview on Jusmen 105.7, Odumodublvck dismissed Blaqbonez’s self-acclaimed status and described it as disrespectful to Nigerian rap veterans.
“Do you know what it is for you to say you are the best rapper in Nigeria?” he asked. “Stop joking. You are not the best rapper. M.I is the best rapper, Vector is the best rapper. If you were the best rapper, you would have won Best Rap Album at the Headies. You weren’t even nominated for Best Rap Single.”
He also acknowledged that even he would never place himself above rap icons like Phyno, Olamide, Vector, M.I Abaga, Modenine, Ghost, or Tec.
“For me to say I’m the best rapper, I’d have to actually be the best. But if you’re not, stop saying it. It’s getting on my nerves, bro,” he said. “You can get smacked in the face for that kind of sh*t.”
Odumodublvck added that while Blaqbonez is a talented artist, his claims are misleading. “Stop lying to the kids that you are the best. Nobody is even booking you for shows. You’re an amazing artist, but don’t let your insecurities close the door.”
