Veteran gospel filmmaker and founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, has come to the defense of gospel artist Gaise Baba following the backlash surrounding his recently released remix, No Turning Back II, featuring minister Lawrence Oyor.

The song, which has gone viral especially among young Christians, has received both praise and criticism. While many youths find it inspiring and relatable, some conservative voices in the Christian community have raised concerns about the appearance and style of the artists, claiming the remix is too worldly in its delivery.

Reacting to the backlash in a detailed post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Bamiloye passionately supported Gaise Baba, calling the song a much-needed tool for evangelism in today’s culture. He emphasized that the message of the song centered on salvation, surrender, and transformation through Christ is what truly matters.

He questioned why believers were focusing on superficial aspects like hairstyles and dance moves rather than the song's powerful message. According to him, in a generation heavily influenced by social media and secular trends, any gospel effort that resonates with young people should be encouraged rather than condemned.

Bamiloye pointed out that the Yoruba lyrics of the song beautifully communicate the message of Jesus' love and redemption. He urged Christians to shift focus from criticism to prayer, hoping that the viral nature of the track would bring thousands of youths closer to Christ.

He concluded with a heartfelt reminder that the gospel must be expressed in forms that speak the language of the current generation, encouraging believers to support diverse gospel expressions that still point to Jesus.

His post has since sparked conversations across social media, with many now rethinking their stance on the controversial remix.
