Nollywood actress Eve Esin has shared a strong message directed at women, emphasizing the importance of character and communication in building lasting relationships.
In a candid statement, Esin addressed behaviors that she believes can damage personal and romantic relationships, regardless of beauty, intelligence, or success. She pointed out that no mature individual, especially men, will tolerate constant disrespect.
“Ladies, let’s be real, you need to learn how to talk,” she began. “No man or serious person will tolerate rudeness, insults, or pride for long. You may have the looks, the body, or even the brains, but if your character is bad, it will chase away good opportunities and people.”
She continued by advising women to stay composed even in emotional moments: “Learn how to speak with respect, even when you’re upset. Learn how to communicate without shouting or throwing insults. Nobody wants to be in a relationship where they’re constantly disrespected.”
Esin also addressed a common narrative she believes is misleading: “You keep saying men are scum, but sometimes, it’s not them, it's how you talk. You can’t be talking down on people and expect love in return.”
Concluding her statement, the actress left a powerful reminder about the importance of attitude: “Don’t let your mouth and attitude destroy what your beauty has built. Bad character can close doors faster than a bad CV. So, my dear gender, if you truly want to keep a man, grow in self-control, communication, and humility. The world will treat you better when you treat people better.”
Her comments have sparked a mix of reactions online, with many applauding the message for its blunt honesty and emphasis on personal growth.
