Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has opened up about the highs and lows of her past marriage, sharing a deeply personal message about love, loss, and the journey to healing.
“In the beginning, my marriage felt right. It was sweet. It was beautiful,” she shared. But she was quick to add that love alone isn’t always enough to withstand life’s storms. “Life hit us hard. We went through a lot—more than people will ever know. We tried, but we reached a point where we had to go our separate ways. It broke me, but it also made me stronger. I had to choose peace over pain.”
Okorie also emphasized the importance of privacy, especially in a world that often demands public access to personal matters. “There are some parts of my life I keep close to my heart. Not everything needs to be shared online. People only see what I allow them to see, and I like it that way,” she said.
She spoke fondly of her former relationship, noting that it was never about public perception. “My marriage was never for show, and even now, it stays sacred to me. Some things should remain private, for healing, for peace, for dignity.”
Through it all, one constant source of strength remains—her son. “He’s my world. He’s the reason I smile. Everything I do now is for him. He is my strength. He is my light. I live for him.”
