Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has taken to Instagram to set the record straight about a commonly held perception of her personality.
Known for her bold persona and controversial headlines, Angela revealed in her recent post that she is, in fact, a free spirit with a sincere and forgiving heart. She emphasized that she doesn’t dwell on negativity or hold grudges, no matter the circumstances.
"One thing you must know about me, I am a free spirit, and my heart is pure toward everyone. I forgive easily, and I don’t hold grudges, no matter what, except that you don’t know my real life," she wrote.
Reflecting on the brevity of life, Angela stressed the importance of living fully, embracing joy, and letting go of bitterness. She urged her followers to choose forgiveness over resentment.
"Life is too short not to live it to the fullest. Love, laugh, enjoy, forgive people who hurt you, and leave vengeance for God. Listen, God always fights for a pure heart. No matter what they do or say to bring down a good person, it never works. Can’t you see that?" she added.
Angela recounted a moment when a woman asked how she manages to endure the amount of hate directed at her. In response, she said:
"A woman asked me, ‘How do you cope with all this hate here and there?’ I said, I forgive them even before they offend me, but as a human being, that my 5 minutes shout is needed ’cause I don’t want to keep anybody in my mind. So once I shout or say what you did to me and you apologize, I will definitely forgive the person and move on."
She concluded by encouraging others not to give in to envy or hatred, reiterating her focus on living a positive, authentic life.
"No reason to hate me. Life can affect you. If you envy life, it can bring you down. I want to live my life legally," she said.
