Actress Uche Ogbodo Cries Foul: GUO Staff Tried to Extort Me for My Own Package

Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Uche Ogbodo has taken to Instagram to share her frustrating experience with a well-known logistics company, GUO Transport. The actress, known for her transparency, recounted how a package sent to her from Abuja went missing for several days without any update from the company.

According to Ogbodo, she received no notification from GUO regarding the status of the delivery for almost five days. Concerned, she sent her personal assistant to the company's Ajah branch, armed with her ID and a signed note, to retrieve the parcel.

However, her assistant was denied the package, with a staff member allegedly insisting that she provide a delivery PIN—despite Ogbodo claiming she was never sent any such code.

“I waited about five days, no texts yet, so I sent my PA to their Ajah office… She got there, and the guy on duty that day refused to give her my package. I asked why—she said no reason! That the guy said I should provide a pin in the text they sent me. I said, but I didn’t get any message,” she wrote.

Uche eventually visited the office herself, hoping to resolve the issue. To her dismay, the staff member allegedly first claimed the package was not there, only to later admit it had arrived—but said she would need to pay demurrage fees before collecting it.

“Still, I will pay for demurrage. I pleaded with him, but the guy blatantly refused… I asked to see the management or manager on duty, he refused and said I should go and return tomorrow that the manager wasn’t on seat,” she added.

What upset the actress further was the behavior of other employees present, who she said appeared complicit and indifferent to the situation.

Calling out the company publicly, Ogbodo wrote:

> “LOGISTICS COMPANIES are robbing people and stealing people’s belongings in broad daylight! … I used to think this only happens with smaller companies, but I was shocked when I witnessed it with GUO, one of the supposed giants in transportation and logistics in our country.”

She further revealed that as a business owner who frequently sends packages, she's had to deal with multiple losses and has often ended up refunding customers or resending goods through other channels.

Ogbodo concluded her message by urging GUO Transport to address the conduct of its staff:

> “@guotransport, please caution your workers!”.
