Veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George has stirred emotions online after revealing the heartbreaking state of her living condition. In a recent interview, the seasoned Yoruba actress disclosed that she has been homeless for nearly six years, a reality she’s been quietly enduring.
Fighting back tears, Jumoke shared that despite her decades-long contribution to the Nigerian movie industry, she has been struggling behind closed doors, moving from place to place with no permanent roof over her head.
"I've been homeless for five to six years now," she confessed. "It's not something I'm proud of, but it's my reality. I keep trusting God, but it’s been very hard. I just want people to help me with their prayers."
Her revelation has drawn widespread sympathy from fans and colleagues who are shocked that such a talented and respected actress could be suffering in silence for so long. Many have taken to social media to express their concern and call for support for the actress who has graced countless screens with memorable performances.
Jumoke also hinted at being let down by some people she once trusted, suggesting that betrayal and lack of financial support contributed to her present condition. She expressed gratitude to those who have stood by her during these challenging times and maintained hope for better days.
"I know God hasn’t forgotten me," she added. "I believe help will come. I just need strength to keep going."
