Notable streamer Peller has weighed in on the current challenges facing skit makers, claiming that the once-booming skit-making scene is no longer profitable, especially on Instagram.
Speaking during a TikTok live session with his fans on Monday, Peller explained that many content creators have migrated from Instagram to TikTok in search of better earnings.
“You see any content creator for Instagram wey still dey post skit? E no dey pay,” he stated during the live chat.
He noted that a large number of former Instagram skit creators have now embraced TikTok live sessions. “All of them don come TikTok. We are doing live video together, can you see. Hunger is killing everybody. Hunger is killing a lot of Instagram people. When last you see say person post funny Instagram skit…” he added.
Peller also expressed that he deserves recognition from TikTok, saying, “See TikTok needs to give me my flower, because I was interviewed where I mentioned I’m getting some amounts on live streams, people are now running to TikTok saying them too want to make such amounts.”
His remarks reflect a noticeable trend among digital creators who are gravitating towards platforms that offer better opportunities for financial growth and audience interaction.
