Veteran Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson is making notable moves that suggest a deeper involvement in Nigeria’s political landscape, echoing the path of her younger colleague Regina Daniels, who is also known for her political affiliations through marriage.
Mercy, who is married to Edo State politician Prince Odi Okojie, recently accompanied Hajiya Fatima Abbas, the wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, on an official visit to Plateau State. The visit was in honor of the Nzem Berom 2025 celebration, a vibrant cultural festival in the state.
Sharing moments from the trip on social media, Mercy Johnson expressed her joy at being part of the event. She wrote:
“I was extremely thrilled to accompany my boss, Hajiya Fatima Abbas Tajudeen, the wife of the speaker of the House of Representatives, on this historic celebration of the Nzem Berom 2025 cultural celebration in Plateau State.
