Nollywood actor Yul Edochie is facing criticism online for failing to publicly celebrate his daughter Danielle on her birthday.
Danielle, the first child of Yul and his estranged wife May Edochie, turned a year older on Thursday, April 11. However, her father remained noticeably absent from social media throughout the day.
When the actor finally resurfaced on Instagram on Friday, he made no mention of his daughter’s birthday. Instead, he shared photos from a movie set, sparking backlash from followers who didn’t hold back their disappointment.
Fans stormed his comment section to express their displeasure over his silence.
One user, @beauty_paradise_350, asked, “Why did you not celebrate your first daughter’s birthday yesterday? Asking respectfully.”
Another, @fummsy0116, wrote, “U didn’t post yesterday because it was your daughter’s birthday. Your shame no be here at all.”
A user identified as @niniola added, “Yesterday was your daughter’s birthday, hope u know sha?”
And @narrator_stella criticised, “Oga, so you can’t wish your daughter happy birthday? Shame on you, Odogwu.”
