Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has stepped in to clear the air following a social media controversy involving her colleague Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and her husband, Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
The drama unfolded after Juma Jux, who attended the 17th edition of a prestigious award ceremony at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos with Priscilla, won the Best East African Artiste of the Year award. In his acceptance speech, he thanked God, his wife, his team, his fans, and the organisers for recognising East African talent.
Shortly after, a user on X (formerly Twitter) with the handle @OkuYungx suggested that Juma’s marriage to Priscilla was a strategic move to gain relevance and accolades in Nigeria.
In what appeared to be a sarcastic response, an account claiming to be Priscilla replied, “Yes, he married me to gain Nigerian recognition and win the Headies. The game is the game. Shout-out to my man, a smart, calculative, and hardworking man.”
However, Toyin Abraham quickly took to X to debunk the post, stating that the account did not belong to Priscilla and that she is not active on the platform.
She tweeted:
“Please, Priscilla doesn’t have a Twitter account. This is a fake account. Please, Priscilla is not on Twitter.”
Her statement aimed to put a stop to the misinformation spreading online and protect Priscilla from being falsely associated with the viral comment.
