Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has opened up about a deeply painful chapter in her life, revealing how her late husband once begged her to help end his life due to the unbearable pain he was enduring.
In an emotional video shared on her YouTube channel, Regina recounted the final days of her husband’s illness, which ultimately claimed his life in 2003 just four years into their marriage. She revealed that as his health deteriorated, she took him to his hometown in a desperate attempt to find a solution. His family, alarmed by his worsening condition, sought help from both pastors and herbalists, but nothing worked.
With no improvement in sight and his suffering growing worse, her husband made a shocking request. "He begged me to find him a doctor who could inject him with poison," Regina said tearfully. "He said the pain was too much to bear and that he could no longer endure it."
The actress, who was left widowed at a young age, had to raise their two children alone. Despite the pain of losing her husband, she has remained strong over the years, carving out a successful acting career while also sharing her story to inspire others.
