Being faithful in marriage "is very hard" . A renowned Nollywood actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) says in an interview with Teju Babyface podcast themed "Teju Babyface Deep Dive"
RMD was candid about the reality of marriage, acknowledging that it may be "very hard" to be faithful, particularly for those in the entertainment business who often attract unwelcome attention.
"Being faithful in marriage is really difficult," he added, adding that performers in especially are constantly tempted by individuals who might not mean well.
He likened the experience of married men to that of generals on a battlefield, constantly needing to be alert and resilient in order to protect their relationship. RMD also referenced biblical figures such as Jezebel and Delilah, drawing parallels between them and modern-day women who, he believes, aim to entice married men into infidelity through manipulation.
In his advice to other guys, RMD highlighted the need of cooperation and transparency in a marriage.
He encouraged men to be open with their spouses about the types of temptations they might face so that both parties might work together to keep their marriage together.
Particularly in the spotlight, RMD's remarks have sparked a larger discussion about loyalty and the difficulties of marriage.
Some claim that faithfulness is very much feasible with mutual respect and dedication, while others agree that avoiding temptation is a daily challenge.
Because of his own experience, his viewpoint has more weight. RMD's first wife, May Ellen 'MEE' Mofe-Damijo, passed away tragically in 1996. He is currently married to television star Jumobi Adegbesan.
