Kanye West has left fans deeply unsettled after making an unusual post about his own funeral on X (formerly Twitter), sparking concern about his mental wellbeing. The 47-year-old rapper, who has made headlines in recent weeks for controversial online outbursts, once again stirred reactions with his latest musings on death and legacy.
In a series of cryptic and dark posts, Kanye suggested that his funeral should be an elaborate, week-long event. “My funeral needs to be at least a week long. A 10-hour service every day so people can speak aaaall the way through. It actually needs be nooo limit,” he wrote.
He continued with an even more startling request, saying he should be embalmed and placed on display at his late mother’s house, allowing people to come and pay their respects. The rapper even hinted that mourners should be charged for visitation, with the proceeds going to support communities around him. “Use the money to enrich all the blocks around,” he added.
In another post, Kanye cryptically said, “Why do n—–be calling you to kill you I be like It doesn’t work that way,” leading many to believe he was referencing threats or paranoia about his safety.
His remarks prompted a flood of emotional responses from fans. “Please stop. Continue tweeting but not about Ye passing. It hurts my soul to my soles,” one fan pleaded. Another said, “Let’s not think about that for another 50 years,” while others simply expressed confusion and worry.
Kanye’s post follows weeks of erratic behavior online, where he has taken aim at figures like Kim Kardashian, Jay-Z, and Beyoncé. His fans are hoping this is just another phase and not a deeper cry for help.
