The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results for the 2025 Mock UTME, conducted on Thursday across Nigeria.This mock exam offered candidates a chance to familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment, ahead of the main UTME.
Fabian Benjamin, the spokesperson for JAMB, confirmed the results' release in a statement issued on Sunday from Abuja. Candidates who participated in the mock examination can check their results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the registered phone number tied to their exam.
Initially, 200,115 candidates had registered for the mock UTME, but after a few withdrawals, the final number of registered candidates was 200,113. Unfortunately, 73,844 candidates were absent on the exam day, and another 88 failed to pass the biometric verification process, reducing the number of candidates who actually sat for the exam to 126,181. The results for 115,735 of these candidates have already been released, with 10,446 still being processed.
Benjamin also addressed some delays during the exam, attributing them to the new features introduced by JAMB to improve the overall conduct of the UTME. The Board apologized for the inconvenience caused by these delays and expressed appreciation for the patience of candidates and their families.
The mock exam serves as a trial run, allowing JAMB to test new innovations and provide candidates with a preview of the main UTME experience. The exercise is also an opportunity for candidates to assess their readiness for the main exam.
