“I Was Compared To Animals” – Nicole Chikwe Speaks On Backlash Over Naeto C Relationship

Nicole Chikwe, who is married to music star Naeto C, has shared her experience with the backlash she encountered after their relationship became public.

She revealed this while sharing the story of how she and her husband first met.

In a recent interview shared on X Thursday, she disclosed that she and Naeto first crossed paths when she was 22, just after returning from England where she had completed her BSc.

Nicole mentioned that, at the time, her plan was to complete her NYSC and then go back to England for her master’s degree.

However, after meeting Naeto, everything changed, and she was ready to put her plans for further studies on hold to start a life with him.

She shared that the singer encouraged her to complete her master’s degree and return before they proceeded with marriage.

She explained that when her relationship with the singer became public, she faced a great deal of harsh criticism from others.

People suggested that she wasn’t good enough for him, considering she was just an average girl, while he was a big superstar at the time.

She partly said, “When our relationship went public, it was a whole thing. I received a lot of vitroil when it came out. And the rhetoric was that I was not good enough for everyone’s beloveth Naeto C, he could do so much better than her, she’s not beautiful, she’s so ugly. I was compared to all sorts of animals….”
