Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Eniola Ajao, is basking in the excitement of her latest cinematic release, Owambe Thieves, which is set to debut in cinemas nationwide on April 18.
Taking to her social media, Ajao described herself as a “proper Achalugo” and hailed her co-star Zubby Michael as the “unrivalled Odogwu paranran,” celebrating their on-screen chemistry and the buzz surrounding the film.
Her post comes just hours after drama erupted at the movie’s premiere event, where actresses Eniola Badmus and Laide Bakare reportedly clashed publicly. The tension later spilled online, with Bakare sharing screenshots of a private conversation in which Ajao allegedly hurled insults.
Despite the controversy, Eniola Ajao remained unfazed, focusing instead on the success of her film’s premiere. Sharing glamorous photos with Zubby Michael, she praised their characters, Cheta and Lola, calling them “the most-talked-about duo of the season.” She also promised moviegoers an unforgettable experience once Owambe Thieves hits the big screen.
“This is not just another movie; it’s an experience,” she said. “Eyes haven’t seen and ears haven’t heard the type of entertainment that is about to grace your screens. Get ready for a magical experience.”
The film, which explores a blend of comedy, culture, and drama, is already generating strong anticipation from fans eager to see what the much-talked-about project has to offer.
With the premiere making headlines for both cinematic flair and celebrity drama, all eyes are now on Eniola Ajao and her team to see if Owambe Thieves will live up to the hype.
