Afrobeats powerhouse Davido has officially dropped his fifth studio album, 5ive, after months of anticipation.
The 17-track project, which hit streaming platforms in the early hours of Friday, had previously been scheduled for a March 14 release. Fans finally got to experience the full album, which showcases a blend of international and Nigerian artistes.
Among the guest features are Jamaican singers 450 and Shensea, South African star Musa Keys, American artists Chris Brown and Becky G, and French vocalists Tayc and Dadju. Nigerian talents such as Victony, Odumodublvck, Chike, and Omah Lay also contribute to the album’s diverse sound.
Tracks on 5ive include Anything, CFMF, 10 Kilo, Offa Me, Don’t Know, Awuke, R&B, Titanium, Tek, Lately, Nuttin Dey, Be There Still, Holy Water, With You, Lover Boy, Funds, and the title track 5ive.
Before the official release, Davido had already teased fans with three singles — Be There Still, Funds, and Awuke, which features YG Marley.
Back in December, the singer hinted that 5ive would be his most personal project yet. “This is straight from the heart — my story, my truth, and my growth,” he shared.
To promote the album, Davido embarked on a five-city tour earlier this month, performing across Europe and North America.
The award-winning artist rose to fame in 2012 following the success of Dami Duro, the breakout hit from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo. His discography has since expanded to include A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and Timeless (2023).
With 5ive, Davido continues to solidify his legacy in the global music scene.
