Well-known crossdresser Bobrisky recently disclosed that he was duped in a romance scam, losing $990 to a fraudster pretending to be a potential partner.
On Sunday, Bobrisky took to his Instagram page to reveal that the scammer had been conversing with him for several months, first claiming to live in the United States before later stating that he had moved to Canada.
Bobrisky revealed that the individual often called him, slowly earning his trust and portraying himself as someone genuinely interested in pursuing a romantic relationship.
The crossdresser expressed being shocked by the betrayal, admitting that he never anticipated becoming a victim of such deceit.
“I never thought in my life I would be a client to anybody,” he wrote.
He explained that the scammer’s scheme was uncovered when a woman from the U.S. contacted him for an advertisement and requested a deposit via CashApp. As Bobrisky didn’t have a CashApp account, he sought help from the man he had been conversing with.
“I asked this guy talking to me, and he said he would give me his own. As soon as he got the money, he blocked me immediately,” he said.
Bobrisky also posted screenshots of their conversations and a photo of the suspected scammer on his Instagram page, urging his followers to stay alert and avoid falling for similar schemes.
